facebook doppleganger week

my celebrity doppleganger is....melissa gilbert circa "little house on the prairie"!

i kinda looked like her when i was a kid, but i had better teeth...and a natural nose.

LHOTP was/is one of my favorite shows, and i love laura ingalls wilder's books.  dad has the set, and i find myself rereading them at least once a year.  i enjoy them more than the show, actually.  in fact, petunia's name was inspired by laura (not to mention it's a family name as well).

i read melissa's autobiography a month ago.  great read.  for a celeb, she's shockingly normal.  she did reveal some interesting tidbits that i never knew.  dirt on the set of LHOTP.  she got pregnant by rob lowe but miscarried. her youngest child was born several weeks premature.  she was an alcoholic.  i assume all celebs, on some level, are lushes.  she's clean now and lives a normal life.  i guess that's why i've always admired her as an actress.  she's easy to relate to.

3 out of 5 of us are still sick.  i'm on round 2 of antibiotics (z pack), the boy is on preds and antibiotics plus an inhaler, and hubby went to the doctor but the PA didn't think he was sick enough for meds.  hubby feels horrible.  so far petunia and jolly joe are doing okay, considering they are surrounded by sickness.
