finished the pixie's blanket:
plymouth yarns' poppin and encore boucle yarns in feather and fan pattern. pretty easy.
now i have to finish the pumpkin hat. i have 2 inches and decreases to go, plus the stem and leaf. i'd like to get it finished so they could wear their hats to church tomorrow.
bought kitchen towels, paint, ribbon and fabric-tack for a cool halloween project. hopefully the main ingredients - the kiddos - will be cooperative! so watch this spot for future crafty coolness. a big ta to VH, who designed this project. i'm using the same elements, but tweaking it to make my own spin on it.
i love michael's. that store is so full of crafty potential. i would love to work there...except i'd make no money. i'd spend it all on yarn and crafting supplies!
you know what other shows are so inspiring? creative juice on DIY. i saw a grommet set kit today and it reminded me of some of the projects CJ features. uncommon threads (altho i don't crochet well and can't quilt or sew to save my soul). and i really miss knitty gritty.
