lookit! i gotz memes!**

seems that my blog isn't so loosey goosey anymore.  i have some actual daily topics now.

i started my faith sundays several months ago as a way to express my thoughts on my journey in faith.

a month ago i started gratitude wednesdays to track the 1000 gifts (and more) in my life.

lately i've been posting recipes or pictures of meals on saturdays.  foodie saturdays!

now i have a new one - pinterest fridays!  i thought it might be fun to post pictures of some of my pins - things that tickle my fancy (that's one of my boards incidentally).

as always, i'll continue posting my adventures in knitting and crafting, with occasional visits from the kids.  let's see how far i can go with this!

** i hope what i got are memes.  i'm such a dork i had to google the definition.  

blog changes

i tweaked my blog a little bit.

first off, if you're reading this on your iPhone, iPod or smartphone, my blog is in the mobile format.  i noticed a lot of MFBs have formatted their blogs this way, and i thought i'd give it a try.

secondly, you can subscribe to my blog via email!  this way, you can read my newest posts in your email!  i get a few of MFBs this way, and i really like it.  i hope you do too!

lastly, i added a linky to my pinterest page on the sidebar.  i'm always looking for new people to follow, and you're welcome to follow me too!

new look

updated the blog for the change of season.

i took the plunge and CHANGED MY NAME on ravelry.

now i am k1k2 (rav linky).  while i love being a mcknitster, i just don't feel like a diva one anymore.

i've been itching to change my name for a while. i wanted the same name as my blog and when i looked up knitoneknittwo or knit1knit2 they were taken (the irony is that the people who own these names appear to be inactive in ravelry.  such is life).  i have no idear how k1k2 wasn't snatched up.  lucky me that's me now!

my new ravelry moniker is short and sweet and describes my life in knitting terms to boot.

i suppose i should change my ravatar too - i confused a few people i groups - no one knew who i was.  i guess i should have re-introduced myself!



i also tweaked my blog for the summer months.  i made a new header and dropped the heavy dark background.  already i feel lighter.

do not adjust your screen

blogger is being mean to me, making my banner all wonky.  it's not your screen, it's me.  i'm trying to figure it out.  if you have a clue, drop me a line.

switching it up

made some changes to the blog - new banner, darker background, different fonts.  you likey?

the neighborhood is going to pot:



this pot showed up on our porch railing.  i think it used to belong to our neighbors next door (the ones who foreclosed).  i have no idear why it's here or why someone gave it to us, but i have this fear that someone is using it for a drug drop, and that perhaps knotty knitter is a drop off location.  :(






jj 2.0 is going very well.  sock 1 is completed, and i have sock 2 about a quarter completed.  jaywalkers fly off my needles, it seems.

     i promised i wouldn't get new stash, but i ordered these while i was padding an order ordering size 7 nickel tips from KP.

i had a chocolate jones and picked these up at weis market friday night.  so much for satiating it.  i wonder if i can get a free candy bar if i kvetch enough?

yes, it doesn't take much to get excited over my lack of computer skills.  thank goodness for pre-made templates and widgets!  a tip o' the hat to all you coders out there.  i couldn't do your job if my life depended on it.

ETA:  i have 3 comments that you can click on.  one's good, one's bad, one's eh.  hope it all makes sense.  :)

i changed the layout and design of my blog with the new templates.  i'd always wanted to have 2 columns - on each side of my writing - so i'm curious as to what you think.  my left column is for my knitting gadgets, the right for my blogging.  my pics and odd gadgets went at the bottom.  go ahead, critique...i know you want to!

under construction

still working on the contents of my blog.  currently trying to add pictures of my WIPs to the sidebar.  i try my flickr stream but it's showing my recent downloads, and i don't know how to add my sets to the widget.

loads to say about my holiday weekend, but it'll have to wait for another day.  tomorrow i have to do work in the attic, and i need to run errands too.  tuesday will be at gram's for her birthday.
