survivor china = LOGAN'S RUN

i got the new issue of tv guide today so i could read up on the new shows (few listed - why?) there was a big article about the new survivor. i haven't watched the show since the first season and when i looked at the pictures of the new cast(?) NOT ONE OF THEM IS OLD. remember earlier survivors where there were some baby boomers in there? remember cranky rudy? the oldest people there are **48** and **40**. the average age of the team is probably 30. what i'd like to know is, when did survivor become logan's run? remember logan's run - the place where nobody over 30 lived? only a few oldies escaped and lived outside the bubble? when did MY age group become old?

seriously. i remember when i used to watch real world and road rules (which would be early to mid 90s) and the average age on there was 23? jon the cowboy and kat the fencer were the only ones MY age and everyone else seemed old, 25, 26. now the kids (as i call them) average about 20, with the oldest being 23/24? when did late teens/twenty-somethings become the rage?

anyone else feeling old tonight?

on a good note - got 4 new knitting books at ollies. for $20, i got $80 worth of books. sweet. celtic festival was fun. it would have been more fun if it wasn't so damn hot out. tried the (not so new) local bar with hubby for date night. next time, i'll order a soda. i got a lemon drop (they didn't have mike's hard lemonade) which was really yummy but really liquored up. so now i have the drunken migraine (never mind that i only drank a quarter of the stupid drink). i could be dehydrated too. it's been a killer scorcher day.

thanks for the prayer vibes. grams is home and doing well after her surgery. life's good.
