i'm not usually this bitchy...

or racist but i'm about SICK of dealing with people with offshore jobs that belong in the us.

1. i have to deal with ANOTHER thomas recall and my kid is going berzerk over having to send back more toys. pretty soon i'm going to have to whittle thomas toys out of tree branches.

2. this is the nastygram i sent tracfone:

I recently received a letter stating that due to service upgrades in my area my tracfone service may be disrupted as of October 1, 2007. As per the letter I submitted for a free upgrade to your website. I received my new (refurbed) phone on Monday October 1, 2007 and the phone was in working order; however, it did not have my old phone number and minutes. I called your 800 number and spoke to a woman (i forgot her name) who took my information and said that a new SIM card would be sent to me with my old number and current minutes on it.

I received the new SIM card this morning but there was NO information on it. I spent over an hour and a half talking to "Phillip", who after an hour of "imputting my information at least 3 times" (including asking for how many minutes I had left on my old phone and my Social Security Number, which I refused to give) and "conferring with his manager several times, went on to say that my old number and information couldn't be transferred at that time due to "problems with the computer system." I finally became so frustrated that I hung up on him.

I have been with Tracfone for 3 years now and never had problems with service. My question is whether or not I am being scammed or not. I have been using my old cell phone and number with no problems. My parents who each have a Tracfone have not received notice of any upgrades and were not asked to upgrade their phone yet, and they also have no problems with using their phones. My grandmother, who has no cellphone at all, received a letter similar to mine REQUESTING HER TO UPGRADE HER PHONE DUE TO SERVICE UPGRADES.

I have no idea what's going on with the difficulty of porting my old number to the new phone, but I think this whole situation is incredibly fishy. As a result, I am going to look into another phone provider.

PS - I am tired of talking to offshore employees who talk with fake American accents. If i wanted to talk to an Indian i would go to an Indian restaurant. Quit sending your customer service to other countries!!!

Sincerely,

**my name**

unfortunately since the "brief description" part must only take about 200 characters, they didn't get my sarcastic comment about talking to customer reps.

seriously. the lady i talked to monday tried to talk with a southern accent and you could CLEARLY tell she was indian. and "phillip" talked with an indian-ese jamaican accent. if he said "hey mon" i'd shit myself.

at least i can still use my old phone. i didn't want a new one. i just hope someone's not "porting" my old phone number and minutes to bin laden's new cellphone or something.
