last night we went to christkindl market at mifflinburg, a yearly tradition. got my goulasch (basically chunked stewed beef in tomato sauce poured over a stuffing ball - oh so good), bath salts, beeswax candle tealights, and pretzel bits. hubby got a schnitzel sandwich. when we went back to get wurst sandwiches the line was halfway down the street.
we got to see the parade, which we never went to before (it's done on thursday night). the boy LOVED it. he absolutely lit up when he saw santa claus. now maybe our threats to call santa to return the toys may have some validity.
also got 2 loverly hanks of heavenly goodness from valley stream yarns. i must start saving my pin money so i can buy more loveliness next year.
pics to follow but i got a gorgeous hank of jewel toned boucle, and a hank of forest-y green/brown boucle. i can't wait to work with it. it'll have to wait until the xmas rush is over.
this market is small and wonderful. locally sponsored food vendors and craftspeople. there's a much bigger one in bethlehem pennsylvania but this was fits the bill nicely for our needs.
visit with santa at my alma mater tomorrow. didn't do wash today - oh well, just another chore for tomorrow!
