i thought i was done with my xmas shopping, but wound up getting the boy mousetrap (the game), a diego straw cup, chewbacca and han solo figures for his stocking, and a spiderman fig. finally got hubby's 2 travel mugs. naturally i pick the one with no price, and the clerk can't find another like it on the shelf. i think i got it for $2.50.
the mail lady liked my mitties. she sent us a thank you and said they match her uniform and fit perfectly. really, i wasn't trying to be anal and match the blues. it just happened to be a leftover ball of yarn from bil's hat. mail man will get a baggie of cookies monday. right now i'm sick of knitting.
yes, i'm weary of knitting. thank goodness i can take a break. my wrists are killing me, as are my shoulders. wish i could blame knitting on my sore ankle, but it prolly hurts becos it's so messed up.
we saw the train display in shamokin last night. we were lucky and got there early becos when we left the line was already at the steps. we ate at coney dog beforehand - just hamburgs and hot dogs, NO KRAUT (that's bad hygiene!) i love me a good kraut dog. got old fashion rootbeer in a glass bottle. i miss old joints like that. there aren't many around. we need to go to the squeeze in sometime - i'm afraid someday that place will go too. the boy was an absolute mess (all hyper even with a nap) but he really liked the trains. i love looking at train layouts, spesh ones that replicate an area. many of the buildings that are in the layouts don't exist anymore but it's still fun to look at them.
