i have gobs to blog about and no time to do it. this was the first week i took care of ME and the pixie by myself, and i can barely find the time to eat and go to the bathroom, let alone blog.
i'm finding that the day goes blissfully quickly taking care of the babies. they seem to eat every 2-3 hours and if one isn't squawking, the other one is. mornings seem better for me, becos they usually are sleeping and that's when i get my chores and things done. this weekend i'm going to start sleeping upstairs so i can tend to the babies at night so hubby can get sleep.
the babies are doing well and are growing so quickly. already they don't look as little as they used to, and i think they're outgrowing some of their outfits! ME isn't as skitzy and seems to be relaxing more. they tag team on skitziness. they are eating pretty well, eliminating well, learning to hold their heads up and strengthening their necks. the pixie is so wide eyed, always observing the world around her. ME always has this angsty look about him. poor kid, he caught a cold from the boy. it hasn't been too bad, just sucking out snot with a blue bulb, now it's mostly reduced to yellow boogers.
my incision is feeling much better and i don't hurt as bad. i still have days where my joints hurt, but i think it's mostly due to my hormones coming down. my BP is still too high for my comfort, but i see my regular doc in a couple of weeks and hopefully i can go back to one of my old meds. my sugar has been outstanding, with my sweet spot being anywhere between 109 to 116.
the boy is doing pretty good in school. he was student of the day last week, and has been doing well with his school work. he's still a bit flakey with how careful he does his work as she's been correcting his name writing quite a bit. i practice with him at home and remind him to write the letters properly or else he's going to have a hard time later. he is still obsessed with star wars and found some other boys at school who like it too. he's still great with the babies, always kissing or patting their heads.
hubby went back to work this week. this time around was harder for him - he really enjoyed being home with the kids and wished that he could work from home. fortunately the week wasn't too busy for him. he has been coming home on time, more or less, and gets upset when he is late. i told him not to worry, that the boy was very helpful and usually the kids are sleeping anyway.
grams is doing really well. she's motoring around better with her cane and uses her walker when she is tired or feels weak. her body feels better and doesn't hurt as bad. mom is bringing her down for a couple of days, and it sounds like this will be the schedule for the time being, with mom and grams splitting their time between the 2 homes. mom really misses the babies and the one reason grams is coming down here is so mom can come over to help with the babies.
dad has been coming over every day, usually in the afternoon so either of us can get the boy off the bus. he enjoys visiting with the babies too.
MIL will have her second chemo treatment next week. her first round was very rough. she was so sick with nausea and diarrhea. apparently what you eat affects how you feel, and she ate the wrong stuff during that week (she was supposed to only consume clear foods and liquids, and ate instead eggs and puddings and such). she was dehydrated a few times. but her bloodwork was fine and she can continue with treatment. she is starting to lose her hair. her battle's barely started, it's a rough road ahead, but so far so good.

Wow. You have A LOT on your plate. I was already sleepy before I started reading today's post. Now, I'm just going to go to bed. LOL....Glad to hear that things are starting to settle a bit though.
