proof that hell is finally freezing over:
obama won the nobel peace prize FOR DOING NOTHING.
shik almost one another football game against a rated team and are now 4-2.
my ILs bought the babies a case of diapers. it only took 2 months (and 2 baptisms) for them to FINALLY get SOMETHING for the babies.
mom took me shopping today and got me early xmas presents - new dressy pants and tops and sweaters IN A SMALLER SIZE. 2 months, 2 babies and i'm a size smaller than i was BEFORE i got pregnant. this just rocks. take THAT celebrity moms! now, my belly is jiggly. dunno if that will ever tighten up. but it feels great to be a smaller size. i can't wait to start swimming in january. hopefully that tones me up even more.
oh, and i got 2 new bras. including a black one!
i have to go through my clothes becos they are too big. i already put aside my maternity pants to sell next year, and some of my old things are too big. one of my favorite tops - a long sleeve with a deep scoop neck - is way too big. the neck is so big and loose that the babies pull it down to my navel. it would make a terrific nursing top - just pull down the neck an inch or two and pop out a boob! with twins, both boobs! my dressy pants are so big that i can pull them off my hips without unfastening them. they are so baggy they make my saggy belly look huge and hangy. my favorite jeans - which were snug before i got pregnant - are now a bit baggy around my butt and loose through the leg. i actually turned down mom's offer for new jeans, becos i'm so happy with my old ones. i have others in my drawer too, that would fit if lose more.
my fuck me heels still fit, and i bet my fuck me boots fit better too.
finally, the clothing universe is smiling on me. now, if i could only remember where i put my good sweaters...
i forgot to write about another new favorite show. mom got me addicted to HOARDERS on A&E. it's a reality show that features people with hoarding addiction as they attempt to clean up whatever they hoard. i used to think i had bad clutter. these people make me look positively minimalist. that would be an interesting field to work in - there are therapists whose entire practice is solely people with hoarding or obsessive/compulsive issues. better still, have a cleaning business that cleans up after these people (i used to think crime scene cleaner businesses would be good too). the show is over for the season - there were only 6 episodes or so - but it was a really interesting show. i can't wait until they have new episodes again.
