waiting to be devoured

these beauties came from my very own tomato plant.  they were still a bit orange, but i thought a day or two on the window sill would ripen them right up.

i can't wait to nom on these.  sliced into wedges, with a sprinkle of kosher salt.  i can make a meal out of these.

the other tomato plant bit it (not enough sunlight - blocked by the lilac and forsythia bushes).  my pepper plants will probably have the same fate (blocked by the apple and pear trees) although one does have a few blossoms.  my celery, i'll pick soon.  they're still pretty small;  they're planted in front of the peppers, and i don't think they'll get much bigger.
