it's gratitude wednesday, time to count my blessings...
i'm grateful for the souls who gave their lives on this day 70 years ago, and those who spent many years serving and protecting our great nation.

i visited the arizona memorial nearly 30 years ago, with my nanny and pap. i was 8 years old and thought the tour of pearl harbor was boring. i'd love to visit that place again. i'd also give anything to talk to my pap about his feelings about that day - of all the things we did on that trip, he looked forward to visiting pearl harbor the most.
