i bought this yarn a while back with the hopes that the boy wanted to learn how to knit. he wanted to make a scarf for santa claus. i originally started off with a garter stitch scarf, but the boy lost interest. however he still wanted to make a scarf for santa, so naturally i had to knit it.
i found this cute cowl pattern while perusing the french press slipper pattern, and i had the yarn already so i gave it a shot.
this pattern is really neat! it knits up really quickly too. this is an excellent project for a quicky present. i started it sunday night, and finished it yesterday.
i'm sure santa would have preferred red, but the boy likes blue, so he'll have to deal.
here's the finished cowl:
a big thank you to melynda bernardi for this pattern. she's also the designer of the french press felted slippers pattern which i am also coveting at this moment.
