yesterday i heard 2 birthday songs in bon-ton - the birthday song by the beatles and happy birthday by altered images. i also heard my favorite song by the police (every little thing she does is magic) and in giant i heard the song that is hubby's ringtone for me (brown eyed girl by van morrison). weird cosmic coincidence, albeit a day early.
today's my birthday. what i wish i was doing:
knitting on the kiddos' log cabin blankets, sleeping, eating cake. a day alone, just me and quiet.
in reality, i have kidwriting with the boy at school, and freddie's screaming becos he's on his belly and he's too dense to roll over onto his back. and chores chores chores. ah, the grown up life.
it's been 26 years since pap passed away. i love and miss him. i hope i'm doing him proud - i think he'd love the babies and be proud of the boy, too.
