tomorrow at this time i should be visiting my fave LYS in philly, Rosie's. and maybe eating some polish vittles.
the hubster and i are going on vacay again to philly, this time taking about 4 days to do what we want (visit old stuff, eat an authentic cheese steak, stuff we've missed on previous visits...) two very noticeable omits are no visit to buddakon (closed for renovation, go fig) and worse of all NO LUDWIG'S (closed, bought and sold and turning into a *gasp* belgian beer bar with AMERICAN food...WTF??) i'll miss ludwig's, there's no other place in the world (outside stillwater, MN or lake george NY) where you can get authentic german food. how depressing. however, we did find some suitable replacements, in that we found a polish restaurant and the jamaican jerk chicken shack that was featured in "in her shoes." both pretty close to our hotel. but it's still not ludwig's. RIP.
till the weekend luvs...
