KDO - hear it on the radio...

i'm just about a pile of dust. the '08 KDO booklet came in the mail today! so many classes, so little time. i wish KDO lasted a week instead of a weekend. i always wind up with more classes than time allows.

i picked toe up socks for the am class. in case i don't get that i also picked baby blanket from the inside out, entrelac patterns and modular knitting. that's just the am. pm classes i picked moebius scarf, continental knitting, lace scarf and snowflakes. there was a really good all day class for knitting a baby sweater from the top down. i really wanted that one, but i was afraid that if i wasn't pregnant or something would happen i couldn't handle the class for an entire day. i think my mind is just totally blown. hence the pile of dust.

i also ordered a silver sock charm and a backpack from their merch store. since i like socks it seems appropriate. the backpack's just something extra. and of course i ordered my lunch ticket. for a school it's got good food! (my hands seem to want to type scandanavian for some reason!)

so the forms are filled out, the check is made out, and tomorrow it gets mailed! in 2 weeks i should hear about what classes i'm enrolled in. i can't wait!

some people might think it's dumb for me to be so excited about a day of knitting. but i love taking classes and learning new things, meeting new people, buy new yarns and gadgets. i wonder how many ravelers will be there!

i also finished cousin t's wedding afghan. no more squares! i crocheted the last panel last night and finished the crocheted border today. i was going to crochet a scalloped border around it but since i can barely do a single crochet, why kill myself? the afghan is gorgeous. i hate tooting my own horn, but it really does look great. for pictures, check out my ravelry page.

my hands are also numb. i don't know if it's from crocheting or something else but they are driving me nuts!!
