my karma is going to kill me

i need to email a nasty gram to hampton inn. they screwed up our reservations. we reserved a non smoking room a month ago and when we went to check in (at 8pm, we weren't able to make the 3pm check in time) they'd given it up and we had to take a smoking room.

i'm such a bitch. i played the "my baby died and my hormones are a mess and i have severe allergies and asthma and can't stay in a smoking room, either give us the smoking one for free or put us up somewhere else and eat the cost" card. the poor desk clerk, preggers herself, was very sympathic and gave us the room for free with an upgrade to a NS room the next day. they were true to their word. but it still sucks.

apparently the booking program overbooks and will take any available room. it does not recognize smoking from NS rooms. this really sucks. i CANNOT have a smoking room. smoke makes me sick. and we made this reservation A MONTH AGO. i'm sorry if there are softball teams looking for rooms. NOT MY PROBLEM. JUST GIVE ME THE ROOM I RESERVED. and NO, i am NOT going to tell you that i have allergies and asthma and to note that in my reservation. IF I WANTED A SMOKING ROOM, I WOULD BOOK IT.
