yin and yang are out of the closet now!

i'm now at 12 weeks, starting my second trimester, and probably a third of the way through this pregnancy.

had my check up today. heard yin and yang's heartbeats, but it took a while. doc had to fish for the beats, he was using a new type of doppler and had difficulty finding both beats, so he got the old doppler. fished around with that one too, but he found them. one baby's heartbeat was slower than the other's. hopefully this means we're having one of each.

we told the boy last night. he was pretty excited and happy. he has no concept of time and thinks they can be born right away. he offered to help with the babies (except for poopy diapers). he offered up some names - batman, robin and superman. uh, no. but he did offer up joseph, which is one name we are considering for a boy except we'd spell it josef.

told knitting group last night. extended family now know. i felt like i was jumping off a cliff when we started telling people, but it's a relief to not keep the secret anymore. it's hard to find different excuses for why you're tired and sick all the time. flu and migraine only go so far!
