now i know why the rich have baby and wet nurses. these kiddos are kicking our asses.
the babies are settling well in our home except at night, of course. monkey ears seems to have the most trouble. he'll be awake for much of the night, and it seems that no amount of feeding and changing seem to help. we don't know if it's becos of all the time he spent under the bili lamps (off circadian rhythm) or spending more time in the NICU than the pixie. maybe it's just his personality. hubby's getting the brunt of the night dealings since he is upstairs with the babies and i'm still on the sofa. the past couple of nights i spared him so he could get some sleep, but last night was bad for both of us. i can't wait until my incision stops hurting and burning so i can return to my bed.
the babies must be going through a growth spurt becos they are feeding just about every 2 hours. thank goodness i'm not nursing, i'd never get any sleep or anything done in general. they eat staggered too, they are usually an hour/half hour apart. i don't know how single moms do it. they have no one to help them.
monkey ears's car seat pneumogram is scheduled for the middle of september. i was hoping that it would be next week, to get him out of that damned car bed. no such luck. i will scream if he has to be in it beyond my EDD. that bed is the bane of our existence.

I hope you get some sleep soon. I don't know now how single parents do it alone either.
