knit with cascade 220 paints/hand dyed in blue/green/purple multi on size 7 needles, this baby sweater was pretty easy to knit. i knit the 6-12 months size so baby r gets plenty of wear from it.
i dug in my button jars and thought about mother of pearl buttons but i didn't have a complete set. i toyed with using 4 different buttons for quirk appeal. then i found these buttons that i bought for a hat and thought the mood ring colors would work.
no sweater is complete without a tiny tag...
i rounded out the gift with sophie the giraffe and a copy of hubby's favorite book when he was little - the monster at the end of this book.
welcome to the world, little r! it's been fun knitting for you!
Love it! Great sweater!
ReplyDeleteThat is an absolutely gorgeous top!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky is the little girl ( and mum) who receives such a delightful gift.
I have just started knitting a few weeks ago.
It is very compelling to keep picking up those knitting needles every second I get!
