so much for stash busting

i swore i wasn't going to make anything for MM this xmas. i've made her hats and scarves for the past 2 years, and all she did was bitch about them, that they were too big, yada yada yada.

so hubby told me monday that MM wore one of her hats to church, and people fussed over it. MM eats up attention so she must have felt proud. i must get that pride through osmosis, cos i decided to make her another hat, this one felted.

i was thinking of making a blue hat, and using leftover koigu to make a tweed. i went through all my stash, but didn't have enough of one color to make a wide brimmed hat.

so i made the trek to my fave LYS. i wanted a royal blue yarn, but had to make due with navy instead.

while i was there, i bought red yarn so i could make a felted hat with Dominicamuenica's red ladder yarn for me.

and i got a sage green yarn to use with the varigated slubby yarn my knitting teacher gave us. yep. another felted hat for me.

and this cool rainbow hued mohair that i have no idear what i'm going to use it for, but bought one skein. i would have bought 2 skeins, except it was $12.

and 2 skeins of boku, to make another noro striped scarf, this one with coordinating colors.

and 3 balls of baby yarn, brown (or burgundy?) with a pink slub. no baby in sight, can't guarantee if we have another it will be a girl, but i could not leave that yarn. JUST COULD NOT.

in less that 15 minutes i was $75 poorer.

so much for stash busting.
